Pre-School Program

Preschoolers at Harmony Academy have mastered many significant self help skills including potty training. They explore their world through imaginative play and begin to build friendships. Our teachers and age appropriate rooms provide child-centered activities which allow preschoolers to work on social, cognitive, language and physical skills.

• Learning centers encourage students to be truly engaged in learning activities through active play.
• Both fine and gross motor skills are developed using age appropriate materials. Teachers encourage our students by offering many opportunities to select their own materials and activities and to work at their own pace.
• Using our age appropriate curriculum, our teachers guide students in the areas of language, science, social studies, math, art and music.
• Harmony Academy’s low teacher-student ratios allow teachers to work with each child individually so the student progresses at his or her own rate.
• Preschoolers will enjoy visits to our student center for meals and student activities including story time and supervised computer access.
• In our outdoor play area, preschoolers are surrounded with safe, age appropriate toys that encourage active play.
• All teachers are trained in CPR and first aid.
• Parental involvement is encouraged — parents are always welcomed at Harmony Academy.
